Frequently Asked Questions About Our Digital Wealth Management
General Information
DJE Vermögen (digital) is DJE Kapital AG's digital wealth management, designed to build your wealth through carefully selected equities and bonds. Transparency is central to the offering: as an investor, you have a complete overview of your corporate holdings at all times. DJE Kapital AG has been active in the capital markets since 1974 and, with assets under management of more than €17 billion (as at 31.03.2026), ranks among the established bank-independent wealth managers in the German-speaking region. The foundation was laid by Dr Jens Ehrhardt with the FMM-Method he developed, which takes fundamental, monetary and market-technical factors into account and remains the basis of our investment philosophy to this day.
Traditional wealth management used to require very substantial sums. Thanks to digitalisation and modern securities-trading technology, we can now offer this service from an investment of just €10,000. In doing so, you benefit from the extensive experience of our analyst and research team, which makes your investment decisions on the basis of sound analysis and economic assessment – recognised by the Elite Report with its top "Summa cum laude" rating for more than 20 consecutive years.
Please note that past performance and awards are no guarantee of future investment results.
Capital gains, dividends and interest are subject to German withholding tax on investment income, plus solidarity surcharge and church tax where applicable. Baader Bank AG remits these taxes automatically on your behalf, so there is nothing for you to arrange yourself.
To make use of your annual tax-free allowance for investment income and receive investment income tax-free up to that amount, you can set up an exemption order with us.
Whether you are not yet a DJE Vermögen (digital) client and would like general information about our digital wealth management, or you are already a client with questions about your portfolio – we are happy to help.
You can reach us by email at service@dje.de or by telephone on +49 89 790 453 700. Our service team is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 19:00.
The German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) governs all securities trading in Germany and sets out the legal requirements that investment services providers such as DJE Vermögen (digital) must observe. For you as a client, the key point is this: we are obliged to provide advice that is appropriate to your individual circumstances.
To this end, we ask about and document your previous experience with securities, your investment objectives, your financial circumstances and your willingness to take risk. This information is recorded in writing in what is known as the WpHG questionnaire and forms the basis for determining the investment strategy best suited to you.
Becoming a Client
To become a client of DJE Vermögen (digital), begin the registration process directly at depot.solidvest.de/fragebogen/start and complete the questionnaire there. This captures your risk and return preferences: we take into account your intended investment period, how much loss you are able to absorb, and the purpose of your investment. On this basis, you automatically receive a tailored proposal for a suitable investment strategy, which you can confirm straight away.
You then provide a few personal details, such as your address and bank details. You also have the option of setting up a SEPA direct debit mandate for paying in your investment amount, and a savings plan if you wish. The contract is then concluded entirely online – no printouts or signatures by post required. Finally, you complete the legally required identity verification via Videoident or Postident.
Tip: Our demo portfolio feature lets you try out our digital wealth management with no obligation before you invest.
A DJE Vermögen (digital) securities account can be opened by private individuals aged 18 and over. Alongside the standard single account, we also offer joint accounts: during registration, once you have entered your personal details, select the "joint account" option and provide the name, email address and date of birth of the second account holder. That person then completes the registration process independently via our website and confirms the joint account opening there.
What is not currently possible is opening an account for a minor, a corporate account, or investing in the name of a third party, for example your children. We are continually developing our offering and are looking at such extensions for the future – though we cannot give a specific date yet.
Registration can be completed comfortably in around 30 minutes, followed by the Post-ID procedure (either Videoident or Postident at a branch).
Where identity verification is carried out via Videoident, we receive the data from Deutsche Post more quickly and review it immediately afterwards. Baader Bank then requires approximately two to three banking days to open the account, and the debit of your investment amount has a lead time of two days.
With DJE Vermögen (digital), you open a securities account and a settlement account with Baader Bank AG at the same time. This settlement account is permanently linked to your personal reference account – that is, your usual bank account – which you provide during the account opening process. Once your account and securities account have been opened, your investment amount is simply collected from this reference account by direct debit; no manual transfer is needed.
The reference account serves above all as a safeguard: payments in and out are only possible between your settlement account and the reference account on file. This ensures that funds move only between two accounts clearly belonging to you, and cannot be transferred to any third party.
A wholesale transfer of an existing securities account is not possible. Please contact us so that we can look at possible alternatives together.
If you would like to invest the value of your current securities account with the digital wealth management, first sell your securities at your bank and transfer the proceeds to your own bank account. During the DJE Vermögen(digital) onboarding process, you can then register this account as your reference account.
Once your new DJE Vermögen (digital) securities account with Baader Bank AG has been opened, we will debit the funds from your reference account.
If you would like your data to be deleted, we can only do so if you have not yet accepted the contract, as we are otherwise bound by statutory retention obligations.
We are happy to welcome clients of other nationalities. Simply complete the onboarding process and, when asked for your tax ID, enter your German tax identification number if you have one, or the equivalent TIN for your country. Our service is unavailable only to investors subject to US taxation and to investors in certain selected countries.
Investment
The investment concept behind DJE Vermögen (digital) is built on a comprehensive, multi-stage analysis and selection process based on the proven FMM Method (fundamental, monetary, market technical). Each year, our in-house research team conducts more than 500 company visits worldwide – in the US, Asia and Europe. In doing so, our analysts examine, among other things, the quality of management, their sector experience and their ability to perform even in challenging market phases.
These findings feed directly into our fundamental, monetary and market technical analysis: we look at macroeconomic developments, assess central bank monetary policy and factor in chart signals to determine the optimal timing for investment decisions. On this basis, our research team assembles your portfolio and adjusts it continuously in line with current market conditions.
With DJE Vermögen (digital), you can choose between five investment strategies, which differ in their weighting of equities and bonds:
- Opportunity+ (up to 100% equities) offers the greatest return potential, combined with the highest level of volatility risk.
- Opportunity (up to 75% equities, 25% bonds) and Growth (up to 50% equities, 50% bonds) provide an increasing balance between return potential and stability.
- Return (up to 25% equities, 75% bonds) takes a more defensive stance, reducing fluctuations in exchange for lower return potential.
- Interest invests entirely in fixed-income securities with no equity component and therefore carries the comparatively lowest volatility risk.
In a dynamic, volatile market environment, portfolios with a higher equity weighting are exposed to greater price fluctuations – and this cuts both ways, meaning larger gains as well. During the registration process, we determine the strategy suited to you on the basis of your personal investment goals, your previous experience and your willingness to take risks. The decisive factor here is your maximum loss tolerance: the higher it is, the greater the potential return – but also the greater the risk of larger losses.
Yes, you can adjust the risk class underlying your investment strategy at any time. Simply open the DJE Vermögen (digital) app or your portfolio view online. Under "Anpassen", you will find the pencil icon next to "Risikoprofil". There you can have your risk profile reassessed and then select the appropriate strategy.
Once confirmed, your new strategy is implemented in the portfolio automatically – there is no need to sell holdings manually or open a new securities account.
Yes, with DJE Vermögen (digital) you can easily open several securities accounts and run each of them with its own investment strategy. This multi-account capability gives your investments greater structure – allowing you to reflect different savings goals, time horizons or risk profiles in separate accounts.
You manage all your accounts centrally and clearly in a single app or in your portfolio view online – with full access to and full control over every individual investment.
Rebalancing is the process of restoring your portfolio's originally defined weighting at regular intervals. If your optimal portfolio split is for example 50% equities and 50% bonds, this ratio can shift over time as the two perform differently – to 60% equities and 40% bonds, for example, if share prices rise sharply. That would increase the risk in your portfolio relative to the structure you originally defined. During rebalancing, overweight positions are partly sold and the proceeds reinvested in underweight holdings in order to restore your target weighting.
How often your portfolio is rebalanced cannot be predicted in advance, as this depends on prevailing market conditions. Importantly, all transaction costs are already included in your all-in fee. You therefore always pay the same fee, regardless of how often your portfolio is adjusted – no additional transaction costs are incurred.
Baader Bank AG informs us of the receipt of your funds the following day. We then invest your money promptly. We do not attempt to time the market – that is, we do not deliberately wait for a supposedly more favourable entry point. Instead, your money is invested swiftly in line with the investment strategy identified for you.
DJE Kapital AG is a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI). Since 2018, our wealth management has been aligned with overarching sustainability criteria such as environmental protection and respect for human rights and labour standards. These criteria are firmly embedded in our investment process, and we follow them out of conviction – not merely because they are expected of us.
With DJE Vermögen (digital), directly influencing the selection of individual equities and bonds is generally not intended. Your portfolio's composition is based on our comprehensive investment process, in which our analysts and research team carefully examine every security and select it according to clearly defined criteria. In this way, you entrust your investment to an experienced wealth manager that continuously monitors and optimises your portfolio structure, without you having to manage it yourself.
Nevertheless, you do have some room to shape things: we give you the option of excluding specific individual holdings from your portfolio. If you would like to make use of this, our team will be happy to help at service@dje.de.
With DJE Vermögen (digital), you can set up a savings plan from €100 a month and invest your money on a monthly basis. To do so, issue a SEPA direct debit mandate or set up a standing order to your settlement account with Baader Bank. Funds are collected either at the beginning or in the middle of the month, as you prefer.
You can adjust your monthly savings plan instalment or cancel the savings plan at any time in your portfolio view under "Investieren". The minimum amount is €100 per month.
How is performance to be understood?
Your portfolio's performance is calculated as what is known as time-weighted performance. This means that payments in and out have no bearing on the performance shown – neither their size nor their timing distorts the result. The performance figure therefore shows you purely how your investment strategy has actually developed, irrespective of when and how much money you paid in or withdrew. This calculation method is the industry standard and is also used by other investment companies and professional investors.
An example to put this in context: if you have paid in differing amounts at different points in time, the performance shown may at first glance differ from a simple look at your account balance. This is due solely to this neutralising calculation method and is not an error.
My Account
You can increase your investment with DJE Vermögen (digital) at any time through additional payments. Simply transfer the amount you wish to invest to your settlement account with Baader Bank AG – we then invest it automatically. Alternatively, you can initiate a payment directly in your portfolio view under "Investieren".
The same applies to any further payments later on: you are not limited to your initial investment and can top up at any time, by exactly the same straightforward route.
With DJE Vermögen (digital), you can pay money in and withdraw it at any time. As there is no fixed contract term, you are free to request a withdrawal or close your account whenever you wish – you are not entering into any long-term commitment.
Simply send your withdrawal instruction or notice of termination by email to service@dje.de.
With DJE Vermögen (digital), withdrawals are possible at any time, as long as the minimum investment amount of €10,000 is not breached. Simply send your withdrawal instruction by email to service@dje.de, stating the amount you wish to withdraw.
Processing usually takes up to three banking days. In individual cases, the sale process may be delayed slightly by rebalancing or adjustments to the portfolio allocation. The withdrawal amount is then transferred to the reference account you have registered.
Your personal login area lets you follow the performance of your investment easily and transparently at any time. There you can see the current value of your portfolio and its percentage performance at a glance. Our convenient app for iOS and Android also gives you easy access to your portfolio overview while on the move.
Please note that the figures shown are based on the previous day's prices.
You can easily update your personal details in your personal login area. You will find the options under "Profil" and can make changes securely using two-factor authentication.
If you would prefer to change your details in writing, we will gladly provide the necessary forms on request. Simply sign them and return them to us by email to service@dje.de.
Your annual tax certificate for the previous calendar year is made available to you free of charge in the electronic mailbox of your Solidvest login area. Baader Bank generally provides these documents during the course of April.
If the certificate is not available there, please note the following: if you use other Baader Bank AG services – such as a wealth management mandate or a broker account – you will receive a consolidated annual tax certificate covering all of your account relationships. For data protection reasons, we do not hold a copy in these cases. The document can only be accessed via the Baader Bank client portal.
Your login details consist of your user name (which corresponds to your customer number) and your personal PIN. The certificate is usually filed under the customer number of the service you set up first.
Please also note that, once your account has been closed, the certificate is sent by post.
If you would like to change your tax exemption order or set up a new one, please contact our client service team at service@solidvest.de.
For a joint exemption order with your spouse, both signatures and both tax identification numbers (TINs) must appear on the document.
If no validity period is specified, the exemption order is treated as valid until 31 December of the calendar year, until a new order is received by the bank.
You can cancel your DJE Vermögen (digital) account easily by email at any time – simply send your notice of termination to service@dje.de. As there are no minimum holding or notice periods, you remain flexible at all times and can access your money quickly.
Once any ongoing portfolio allocations have been completed, we sell your securities and transfer the bulk of your investment to the reference account you have registered. Full settlement can take around six weeks – this period ensures that all outstanding dividend credits, tax entries and settlements are processed correctly and that your account is closed cleanly.
You can review your completed securities transactions in your personal login area at any time. Under the "Portfolio" menu item, the "Transaktionen" section provides a full overview of your transactions.
The corresponding contract notes are linked directly there and are also available in your electronic mailbox.
As part of DJE Kapital AG, we are subject as a portfolio manager to the strict requirements of the German Banking Act (KWG) and are a member of the compensation scheme for securities trading firms. Importantly, we never have access to your assets at any point.
Your settlement account and securities account are held with Baader Bank. The settlement account is covered by the statutory deposit protection of €100,000 per person and institution, and additionally by the deposit protection fund of the Association of German Banks (BdB). For your security, payments in and out are also only possible between the reference account you have registered and your settlement account at Baader Bank – transfers to third-party accounts are not possible.
Costs
Digital wealth management with DJE Vermögen (digital) is subject to an all-in fee based on the size of your invested portfolio and the investment strategy you choose. This covers every element of the service: the wealth management fee, custody at Baader Bank, a flat transaction cost charge, rebalancing, reporting, payments in and out, and personal client service. All fees are inclusive of any VAT that may apply – you incur no additional or hidden costs.
Interest, dividends and other income are initially collected in your settlement account at Baader Bank and automatically reinvested in line with your portfolio structure as part of the rebalancing process. The timing of reinvestment depends among other things on how much has accumulated and may take somewhat longer for smaller amounts. Our current terms are available on our website.
No, termination incurs no additional or separate termination costs. The fees accrued up to the point of termination are simply charged on a pro rata basis in accordance with the fee structure in force at the time.
If a positive increase in value has been achieved as at the settlement date, a performance fee may additionally apply in line with the agreed high-water-mark principle. The relevant measure here is the net increase in assets generated during the settlement period. Any losses are first offset against future gains – a performance fee can only be charged again once these have been fully recovered. The settlement date is the point at which your termination, or any other ending of the wealth management mandate, takes effect.
The wealth management costs are calculated monthly and Baader Bank AG's flat transaction fee quarterly; both are then debited automatically from your settlement account at Baader Bank. This process is built into our investment concept, so you do not need to make any transfers yourself, and no separate direct debit is taken from your reference account.
To cover each debit, a small portion of your balance is automatically retained in the settlement account and is accordingly not invested in securities.
As a wealth manager, we are not permitted under regulatory rules to make explicit statements about the tax deductibility of fees in individual cases. Please contact your tax adviser directly on this point – they are best placed to assess your personal tax situation reliably.
Security
Within DJE Vermögen (digital), your investment is held in custody with our cooperation partner, Baader Bank. There you hold a settlement account and a securities account in your own name. Balances on the settlement account are covered by the statutory deposit protection of up to €100,000 per person and institution, and beyond that by the voluntary deposit protection fund of the Association of German Banks.
The securities held in your account constitute segregated assets: they are legally your property and are fully protected in the event of the custodian bank's insolvency. They must be released to you or transferred to another securities account and do not form part of the insolvency estate. As a wealth manager, DJE Vermögen (digital) never has direct access to your money or your securities. Should DJE Vermögen (digital) itself become insolvent, only the management mandate would come to an end – your securities remain in your possession at all times.
DJE Kapital AG's analysts continuously monitor current and prospective market developments using a range of indicators and early warning signals. Where heightened risks emerge, your portfolio is adjusted accordingly.
One important instrument here is management of the investment ratio: in sharply falling markets, this can be reduced in order to limit potential losses. There is, however, no guarantee that market crises will be identified early or avoided altogether – particularly in the case of sudden external events.
