Award based on a clear evaluation framework
The categories of the Austrian Fund of Funds Award are based on the asset class - bonds, equities or alternative investments. Most funds of funds primarily mix equities and bonds. If the ratio of these two asset classes in the portfolio is relatively fixed, they belong to the mixed funds of funds and are classified as "bond-oriented", "balanced" or "equity-oriented". If the investment rules are more flexible in this respect, they are classified as "mixed funds of funds flexible".
In all categories with a wide range of volatilities, the funds of funds were divided into the categories "conservative", "balanced" and "dynamic" based on their historical fluctuation range of redemption values.
The winner was determined using the Sharpe ratio (with a calculated interest rate of 0.5%) for the periods of one, three and five years, provided that at least six funds of funds were available for evaluation in the respective category in the corresponding period. The cut-off date for the evaluation was September 30, 2025; the data was provided to Geld-Magazin by Lipper IM.
